One day, I will have Scrivener. That day will probably when I buy a new laptop later on this year.

Scrivener ♥ There’s usually a discount around NaNoWriMo (which you probably already know :P)

Man, I tried Scrivener once just to see what all the fuss was about. Too many bells and whistles for me ^^;; I will stick happily to my writing app and word :3

Word *shakes fist* So freaking buggy on mac. I will kill it. (Or just start using open office exclusively).

I love the organization and the backup options. Scrivener and I seem to have come to an understanding.

One of the things that bugs the heck out of me with Scriv is that the menus aren’t organized in a very intuitive manner. Like the name generator is in Edit -> Writing Tools -> Name Generator. Nothing about a name generator, or even Writing Tools, is related to what the edit menu normally does and should contain. Anyway, there are, as you point out, so many bells and whistles, and they’re everywhere and it’s hard to ignore them for the subset of features you really need.
